2. Working principle
The vacuum consumable electrode shell furnace is a melting furnace that uses the high temperature arc discharge generated between the positive electrode (crucible) and the negative electrode (consumable electrode) in a vacuum environment to melt the consumable electrode into a solution in the crucible and pour the solution into the casting mold to form the casting.
3. Melting characteristics
3.1. Since it is melted in a water-cooled crucible in a vacuum environment, it is not contaminated by refractory materials, atmosphere, casting molds, etc.
3.2. In the water-cooled crucible while melting and crystallization into ingots, this rapid and directional crystallization can eliminate the common shrinkage cavity, deflection and central porosity and other defects.
3.3. Due to the orthogonal effect of the magnetic field of the crucible stable arc coil and the melting current, not only the arc is stably burned, but also the molten steel is rotated and centrifuged, so that the molten steel is fully degassed, the alloy element composition is uniform, and the melting impurities are floated to the upper part and periphery of the spindle, thus playing a refining effect.
